Short Description:

Simple Dice Tipping Game Bot.

Full Description

A simple dice rolling tipping game, where tippers use tokens to roll a pair of dice and win a prize based on the outcome.

Games can be either finite, where prizes are won only once per outcome and games end when all outcomes have been rolled, or infinite, where prizes are awarded each time an outcome is rolled.

The game may be played as an app by clicking here, in which case game statistics are shown in the display panel, and the room subject is used to promote play.

Prize Assignment Guidelines

Games use either 6-sided dice or 10-sided dice depending on how many prize assignments are set up. Filling in all prize assignments will automatically use 10-sided dice; anything less, and 6-sided dice are used.

The rough percentage probability of each roll outcome is shown against each prize assignment. For example, with 6-sided dice, the most likely outcome is that a 7 is thrown, with a probability of roughly 17%, or once in every six throws. With 10-sided dice, 11 is the most likely throw, occurring roughly once in every ten throws. Assign more valuable prizes to less likely outcomes.

In addition, the dice have a "magic" quality, whereby a single 6 in a 6-sided game, or 10 in a 10-sided game, can randomly transform to zero, allowing for the possibility of rolling 1, or jackpot! Jackpot outcomes occur rarely, so offer its prize according.

Resetting Finite Play

Typically, the jackpot will be the last prize to be won in a finite game, and may take many hundreds of rolls to achieve, in which case broadcasters might want to reset the prize pool and restart play before waiting for it to occur by typing /reset into chat.

Finite Play Credit

In finite play, the game rolls dice pairs depending on the size of a tip and the price of a roll, until the prize pool has been exhausted.

Any unused tokens after a finite game has ended are credited to the tipper until a new game is started and they choose to roll again.

Credit/Winnings History

The game retains tipper credit and winnings for 24 hours, but that information is lost when the bot is deactivated.

However, if desired, it may be saved before the bot is deactived and subsequently restored by the broadcaster after it has been reactivated using the CBS Save'N'Restore Bookmark Applet, documented and available with the Save'N'Restore Tip Goal app.

Note, though, that the Applet does not save, nor restore the state of any partially played game, and that credit/win records expire after 24 hours.

Have fun.
